How much does a new deck cost in Atlanta?
The price depends mostly on size, height off the ground, decking material (wood or composite), railings and stairs. We give you a price after a free on-site visit, so you know the cost before anything starts.
Do I need a permit to build a deck in Georgia?
Usually, yes. Georgia's residential building code generally requires a permit for a deck unless it is under 200 square feet, no more than 30 inches above the ground, not attached to the house, and not serving an exit door. In the Atlanta area, permits come from your county or, inside city limits, the city's building department, and local rules can add requirements. Ask during your free quote and we'll go over what your deck needs.
Which is better in Georgia, composite or wood?
Composite (Trex, TimberTech) costs more upfront but needs little upkeep in Georgia's humidity: no staining, no rot, no splinters. Wood costs less to build but needs regular staining or sealing. We help you choose based on budget and how much upkeep you want.
